I am not using any non-English character sets excepting for the fact that foreign languages are installed by default in BB (German Umlauts and the like). NO foreign characters were used anywhere in LogicMail so far (password, account names, user ids etc)

Please see also my other email, with more detail. It does not look like a problem in the character set to me, it is much deeper. FWIW the mail server is the one used by godaddy accounts.

  Are you using a language other than English?  If so, there are GUI
    bugs that affect field layout on the config screen.  They're on my
    to-do list to fix.
