Yeah, I'm not really sure exactly what the problem is either. However, if you crank up the debugging log level on your device (pretty sure I talk about that somewhere on the website), LogicMail should log the specific connection string its using. Would be interesting to see what it is. Another thing worth trying is toggling the "Use MDS Proxy" option. (which is on by default, but in retrospect, really should be off by default) My own device is a T-Mobile 9700 running 5.0.0.330, and its also had no problems. Another thing potentially worth trying are the latest development builds. While not technically "stable" or "bug-free", I did completely rewrite the "open a network connection" code.
