FWIW, I ran into a similar problem a couple of months ago. LogicMail 1.0.4 worked fine for me on my 8330 running 4.1.x when using an exchange server with a self-signed cert. After I upgraded the 8330 to 4.5.x, LogicMail gets the "Unable to reopen connection" error when it tries to establish the connection. I haven't figured out why.
