There are many possible causes, most of them having to do with your BlackBerry 
configuration.  If the problem was just the certificate, then you should be 
getting a popup about accepting the invalid certificate.  But if you get that 
error immediately, then you probably have something else misconfigured.  The 
first thing I'd check is the BlackBerry's TCP settings (see the FAQ on the 
project website for details).
