I'm sure this has been addressed in the past, but I can't find any way to search the archives. I just installed Logicmail on my BB 8130 and set up a POP mail account for my Gmail. But it only downloads old email, nothing recent. It started with last October. If I delete a bunch, it will download more, but how do I make it download new email, without having to delete ALL of the past 6 months? And when I get to the new email, I shouldn't have to manually delete old ones, before it tells me I have something new today. Also, when it downloads the email it doesn't download everything for a particular day. When I delete some old ones and get it to download more, I find new ones interspersed with the ones I already had. Thanks for any help! > ~~~~~ > Kelly C. Kelly, The problem is that GMail's POP support is kinda broken. Here's the somewhat technical blog post where I investigated the issue: https://www.logicmail.org/blog/gmail-web-imap-pop The short answer is that GMail is actually sending me the data you're seeing, when I tell it to "send me the latest messages". If you switch to using IMAP instead of POP, things should work a lot better. -Derek On 5/1/2012 9:00 PM, Kelly Holman wrote: > I'm sure this has been addressed in the past, but I can't find any way > to search the archives. > > I just installed Logicmail on my BB 8130 and set up a POP mail account > for my Gmail. Thanks to both of you. I did switch to IMAP, and it's working now. I had always used POP before I had webmail, so I didn't think anything of it. Thanks to both of you. I switched to IMAP and it works fine now. I had only used POP because that's what I always had before webmail. Okay, now I have a new question. Why did those messages not show in my Sent mailbox, so I thought the first had succumbed to my phone acting stupid and sent another?
