Hi, I'm using version 2.0.0.258 on a Blackberry 8320 OS 4.5. When I set up SMTP as "Auto" and "WiFi if available" and send an email, I get an error saying "5.5.2 unrecognized command". If I uncheck WiFi it seems to work. Also, it would be real nice if I could mark an email as unread after I had read it. Most clients provide for this and I use that feature a good bit. Otherwise, what a super upgrade from version 1, keep up the good work! Mike |

My best guess is that you are using a WiFi network that is doing a transparent proxy of SMTP traffic, and screwing something up in the process. (This is more common than we'd like to think.) > Also, it would be real nice if I could mark an email as unread after I > had read it. Haven't gotten this message on > any other email clients I use. What are your "secure connection" and "port" settings in LogicMail for Outgoing (SMTP)? What are the equivalent settings in those other E-Mail clients you use? Normally my best guess is that you are using TLS/25 on a server that doesn't support it, and that the error is when LogicMail tries sending the "STARTTLS" command. Or that LogicMail is connecting in a different way than your other E-Mail clients, and its a way that your home WiFi router is screwing something up with. Of course I could easily be wrong. Worst case, the "Debugging" page on the website explains how you can make LogicMail record all network packets to the BlackBerry event log, from which we can see exactly where in the SMTP connection this error is coming from. -- ---------------------------- Derek Konigsberg dko...@lo... ---------------------------- |

This is what I use with other POP clients. If you'd like, I'll work on the debugging log thing. Do I then send that to the list or directly to another email address? Thanks! |

Ahh, so you don't care of someone sniffs your password :-) You can send directly to the list, or directly to me (address in my signature). Its up to you. -- ---------------------------- Derek Konigsberg dko...@lo... ---------------------------- |
