[log4perl-devel] problems installing...

Hello,

I just tried to install log4perl on my laptop which is running perl,
v5.8.7 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread.
Below is the output of "perl --version":

This is perl, v5.8.7 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
(with 7 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)

I tried following the "Install on ActiveState 5.8.*" instructions on the
web page:

I got the error message (after running ppm> install Log-Log4perl
command) saying that it could not contact
