Interesting ... I'm not 100% sure what this could be caused by yet, it 
would be great if you could get us more details on what's going on by 
setting

     $Log::Log4perl::CHATTY_DESTROY_METHODS = 1

and running the script(s) again. Is this possible? I'd be really 
interested in tracking this one down.
