[log4perl-devel] Variable Substitution and Socket Appender

Just checked in two exciting new features: Variable Substitution in the 
conf file (the main man page now contains a section on it) and a 
Log::Log4perl::Appender::Socket appender, sending messages over the 
network. Check it out and let me know how you like it!

(If all goes well, both are going to be in the upcoming 0.39 release).
