They're great, I've integrated them both, added test cases and documentation, and included you to the contributors list (let me know if that's ok). 

It's checked into CVS and will be released with 0.22 (check for log4perl.sourceforge.net on how to obtain a CVS snapshot, if you're eager to try it out :).
