Nope, usually I'm only changing the log level.

But I can reproduce the error without changing anything in the config, too.

It does seem to only have a problem when the system is heavily loaded.
Perhaps this is a race condition that is more likely when resources are
heavily used?  (just a guess, I really don't know)
