Casting from a pointer to an integer loses precision on
64bit archs. This is done in several places in the muse
0.7.2pre2 source code when emitting pointers through
signals. This breaks compilation with gcc 4.0 and might
lead to runtime errors with earlier compiler versions.
The attached patch was tested in the 0.7.2pre2 Debian
package. The affected parts of the code apparently have
been rewritten in 0.8, and I haven't investigated in
detail whether the bug still occurs. In any case, the
patch won't apply to 0.8.
