This particular song has been in the works since 2009 or something and I've changed the drums many many times ;) I'm mostly pleased with what I settled on. > And a guitar solo. (Just kidding). Hehe, well, there ARE guitars anyway ;) > > Curious, how do you make your songs? It varies a lot. Mostly there are two variants. 1 Pieces that have been created outside of the computer, these I seldom get to finish because I have such strong ideas about how they should sound. 2. Created by doodling in MusE, these can go from start to finish in quite a short time, still they can be quite satisfying to complete. > How many instruments do you play versus programming? Let's see, for this one I played all guitars (of course) and the piano stuff. Most of the rest is programmed from scratch, drums, bass, synths etc. > Do you have an electronic drum kit, or program them all? I've experimented some with cheap drumkits but they have all been too cheap to work good, and I'm not good enough at playing them ;) > Favourite plugins? Mic your guitar amp or use plugins? I have the sc4 compressor pretty much always, also the LCR delay and mbeq. I use a lot of plugins but the rest is more random. Haven't found a reverb that really works well for me, I use different ones all the time... I line the guitars through a PODxt, it's soo much easier than micing an amp and I'm mostly happy with how it sounds. I've been very digital in my guitar playing for probably ten years now. I can see switching to a tube amp in the near future though ;) > I watched some vids of you (is it you?) live on stage on UT. Hehe, that's quite possible. There are quite a few available of varying quality and seriousness. Including this gem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5kukhUHAM8 ;-) /Robert |
