Everything gets progressively more complicated as you have to pay your bills, cater to a family, etc. How do you cope with that? > offer some "muse handbook", which explains how the core of muse works. > parts, partlists, eventlists, clones, and whatnot. That would be grand, I know I would feel myself much more willing to get my hands dirty on any given project if it didn't imply reverse-engineering undocumented code. Doxygen is a great way to maintain a developer's manual, but it requires extra effort and discipline from people who are already short of time as it is. In that respect LinuxSampler is a great example to follow, very well designed and very thoroughly doxygen'd. I am greatly surprised that no more devs are willing to contribute to LS, perhaps because of that stupid licensing issue. Perhaps you don't realize yet how scarce and precious are the people that can contribute significantly to a FOSS project? It is greatly appreciated that you are one of those, and you should indeed feel proud of it. We all know where you are coming from, but beware of frustration leading you to feel entitled to tell other people what they should do with their time, things are already hard without lashing out at fellow developers who do as best as they can. Thanks, and cheers! Luis |
