I wanted to record a song for my friends and family this year, instead
of sending Christmas cards. I wanted to post a link to the song
(http://www.myspace.com/bluewallgroove) for everyone here, and to offer
I used MusE to sequence all the MIDI devices:
fluidsynth - BassGuitars soundfont
ZynAddSubFx: Vibes, Organ, Bells
Yamaha PSR-170: Drums
I always use MusE to sequence, and in the early stages I track guitars,
etc. and to use the tracks to tune the drums, bass and other sequenced
instruments. Sometimes I just bounce the output to a file, if it sounds
good, and use it for the final song. Most of the time, though, I track
everything with Ardour. This song was tracked with Ardour2 which is
working really great for me right now, mastered with Jamin as an Ardour
insert and finished off with Rezound.
The other songs on my MySpace page and on my website listed there were
created with MusE. I tried Rosegarden to get the notation features. But,
I can't use it to make music (currently learning how to use Lilypond:).
Thanks and Happy Holidays!
