when you change automation data while the song is playing, then the
automation graph in the arranger updates every time you release the
slider. however, this only sets controlpoints whenever you release a
control, and draws lines between them.
this is a lie, however; it doesn't display what's actually recorded!
once the song is stopped and then rewinded (only stopping doesn't work),
the automation is drawn properly.
the problem is: pcanvas relies on the _controller lists stored in the
AudioTracks. the automation data which is currently recorded is stored
in some extra list, however!
to circumvent this, when a slider is _released_ (but only then), a
control point is stored directly in the _controller list (skipping the
temporary recording list), which i consider pretty hackish and dirty.
does anybody have an idea on how to fix this?
should we offer "live-automation-drawing" at all? or is it enough to
display it after the recording has finished?
