Not sure how far along you are, but just wanted
tell you about a relevant small change.
I was worried you might have already put something like this
and would get conflicts next update.
(Are you coping with all these changes?)
I moved these two midi activity detector LED lines out of
driver/alsamidi.cpp:alsaProcessMidiInput() and into
MidiDevice::recordEvent(), in anticipation of Jack midi,
so that that they weren't ALSA-centric:

Also in MidiDevice::recordEvent(), I enabled some sysex filtering
to grab any MTC-full, MMC, and non-realtime messages.
