Hi! I'm aware that muse cvs is being heavily hacked on, but I would like to take a glimpse at the future ... :) Qt 4 is only found here when all the --with-qt-bla are given to configure (QT_DIR did not help). make fails with: In file included from tlswidget.cpp:18: ../../muse/ctrl/configmidictrl.h:12:32: configmidictrlbase.h: No such file or directory Hope that's easy to fix. Thanks, Thorsten Wilms |

Sounds terrific! And I'm late as usual... About configmidictrl.h, I mean building latest cvs-muse, it's always an adventure... I didn't have any luck with QT_DIR et al myself either, I changed the m4/qt.m4 line qt_includes="/usr/local/qt4/include" to the path of my own qt4 installation. Now, 'bout configmidictrl.h, is it missing from muse/ctrl/ ? Btw, what version of gcc are you using? /Mathias |

Werner replied off list, and so I followed, sorry :) The quick fix was to 'make' in muse/ctrl, but it should be fixed in cvs since then. I managed to build it, but it doesn't run, so i decided to just wait and try again later. > Btw, what version of gcc are you using? 3.4.4 --- Thorsten Wilms |

I'm having those "unknown tag" as well, it's from configuration changes between the versions, but I don't have the segfault... And unstable muse creates it's own configuration file as well... Hmmm... Anyway, sounds like not much else to do besides either waiting, or running it in a debugger/backtracing a core dump. /Mathias |

So I tried compiling with --enable-debug, but: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lQtCore_debug Couldn't find any usefull info on that. But I might as well wait for things to stabilize a bit. --- Thorsten Wilms |

Regarding the "unknown tags" you should try to remove the file "~/.muse-0.8". /Werner |

Oh, I completely forgot that I installed muse cvs months ago (thought i left out make install). Removing that helped, no segfault on startup anymore. What I could see so far looks very promising. Thanks for the help. Would it be of help if i report new compilation issues as they arrive? --- Thorsten Wilms |
