Muse aborts when loading a project containing just audio
tracks.. the message are...

----------------------------------------------
starting with default template
timer stop -14 (Bad address)
timer open -16 (Device or resource busy)
muse: timer.c:489: snd_timer_info: Assertion `timer' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
----------------------------------------------

the sound tracks where made in other programs and
it's supposed they are standad WAV..
The program works fine while you insert those
tracks and they are played, copied, moved and so on..
If you save your work everything looks fine but when you
load your project then the core dumped occurs..

Using:
jack 0.99
qjackctl 0.2.12a
kde 3.3 source compiled
Mandrake 9.1, updated and modified
Muse was compiled with gcc 3.2.2
libsamplerate 0.1.2
alsa1.0.5

I'm not being able to reproduce this. Are you sure it's not just one
particular project that you're experiencing this problem with? Have
you done other audio-only projects that you've had the same problem
with? Which version of muse are you using? A backtrace of muse
running w gdb would be very helpful.

About that timer.c assertion failed, i've experienced it with older
alsa-versions than 1.0.5, e.g. the one coming with Mandrake 9.1
(which I'm using too). It's a bit of a hassle to update alsa on
Mandrake 9.1, I thought myself that I actually managed to update it
but was still using the old alsa-version. Are you sure you're actually
    using alsa 1.0.5?

    /Mathias
