I don't think so. It'll be separate code in sample-track-code which already is
very raw and simple so some enhancements & improvements would not hurt.

I think it would work quite nicely if someone spent some work in it. This is
the actual reason why it's not already in (planned for more than 2 years...).
So Csaba, if you want to code it and advance sample-tracks, go ahead! It won't
touch existing components a lot so this work would be done quite
independently. Anyways before starting, we should make up some basic
specifications, what to do how, i.e. do we only allow to record in a separate
window or are we going to reocord "in place" while playing the rest of the
song/BB-track (dependending on where's the sample-track in)?
