This simple patch adds UTF-8 support to write those xml files, so you
can read them back if you have used non-ASCII characters. I haven't
checked QT4 (sorry) but according to the docs it should work.

I've applied both the patches you submitted. I also
have cleared up the problem with audio file processor
tracks reverting to the sample name when being
reloaded, and I think I have the triple-oscillator
twoddle-with-the-course-tune seg fault fixed.
The seg faults that occur when changing a sample file
while playing are turning out to be a little trickier.
I have *a* fix for it that involves turning the
buffer over to libgc and letting the garbage collector
decide when it's safe to delete the buffer. However,
I haven't committed this to CVS because tacking on a
garbage collection system to solve a thread safety
issue is a splattered-code, ugly, ugly thought.
