Hello, I've just started using lmms. It's been a great tool for messing around with samples and making beats, but on trying to export my tunes, I get unreasonable files sizes- say, 25 Mb for a 2:29 long song. Not sure what information I should supply, other than I'm using the current version in the repositories of Ubuntu, and my system is up-to-date. Any help appreciated! (I apologize in advance if I've just screwed up a setting or such- a few google's yielded nothing, so I figured I'd try the forum.) Also, if no ideas on how to output smaller files, what software can I use to downsize them? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Large-File-Size-on-Export-to-flac-wav-tp19718670p19718670.html Sent from the lmms-devel mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Looks like you're exporting as WAV. So where's your problem? WAV-files are uncompressed and thus quite big. You can either export as OGG or encode the WAVE as OGG/MP3 afterwards. toby |

Surprisingly, the problems I encounter are when exporting with OGG; I expected the file size with wav, but it's the same when I output to OGG. However, I'll take the route you suggested, and encode afterwards. Thank you. Tobias Doerffel-2 wrote: > > On Monday 29 September 2008 07:58:43 Marzhall wrote: >> Hello, I've just started using lmms.
