Hi there I'm on Ubuntu Dapper. Spending much time trying to install lmms, following : http://wiki.mindrules.net/doku.php?id=documentation:installation&s=vst I have installed all the dependencies, and first starting having problems with "make -f makefile.svn". I tried upgrading my automake/conf/m4 pkgs, and that helped a bit, somehow got to start configure (after manually putting a copy of makefile.in into every plugin directory) and got this: ======================== === LMMS - WARNING ======================================================= ======================== = = If you want support for STK based instruments, please pass = = --with-stk = = to configure, STK support is still experimental. = ======================== === LMMS - WARNING ======================================================= ======================== = = You don't seem to have Festival development files. = The SingerBot instrument plugin will be ignored. = Before enabling this plugin, bear in mind that it is still experimental. = = To remove this warning, please pass = = --without-singerbot = LMMS will be able to use * ALSA for audio- and MIDI-input/output * JACK for audio-input/output * OSS for audio- and MIDI-input/output * SDL for audio-output * libvorbis for encoding/decoding OGG-files * SDL_sound for sample-decoding * libsndfile for sample-decoding * LADSPA-plugins * libsamplerate for internal samplerate-conversion * LMMS VST Support Layer (LVSL) for integrated VST-plugin usage ============================ === LMMS - INFORMATION =================================================== ============================ = = LMMS has been configured, but there were one or more warnings you should = not ignore. First try to solve the mentioned problems before = proceeding. Otherwise don't complain, if LMMS doesn't run the way = you might expect... After that I tried "make" and got this: make: *** No rule to make target `bin2res.o', needed by `bin2res'. I cannot get farther anymore. Any ideas? Thanks... |

Probably, those Makefile.in copies are wrong. Post the errors you get when typing "make -f Makefile.svn". Bye. |
