I done more testing, Linux build seems to run just with 32 bit VST plugins for me. I could run 64bit VST on Linux when I installed windows 64 bit build via wine, but VST GUIs seems not very much usable that way. Windows 64bit build seems to load both 32 and 64 bit VST versions.

To get current stable branch from GIT for test:

git clone git://lmms.git.sf.net/gitroot/lmms/lmms
cd lmms
git checkout -b stable-0.4 origin/stable-0.4

( to build 64 bit Linux build, I have used wine 1.2 on Mint 14.1 64bit version, and than I swithed to 1.5
 for windows cross-comilation see http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.lmms.devel/959 )

This problem to bring VST windows on front seems present with older lmms releases ( windows builds) as well but I will try to check this more.

Best regards

Add hanging VST plugins, could you try as well with stable branch from GIT?

Mini Dizi, and I just tried GTG DPC 3 loaded for me on win32 / 64 bit builds.

Anyway I noticed on windows versions there are problems to bring VST window on front, when you click on VST GUI, but other window areas seems ok.
