Looks like my understanding of LMMS/ZASF was crunk. ;)

I meant that since VST automation is built into LMMS at this point, it should work with the VST version of ZASF.

No, it's a wrapper around the native ZASF code which interfaces ZASF with LMMS.

AFAIK the VST version does not have automation of all controls either.
