yes, when installing lmms, first i added

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/tobydox/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/tobydox/ubuntu intrepid main

to my sources.list, then installed using *sudo apt-get install lmms lmms-extras*
and wine is automatically installed.

would wine need to be uninstalled too, as you said needed to run the 32-bit version of that?

any chance of a step-by-step explanation? i haven't installed much from source, i usually use the repositories.
