as for not being able to change vol+panning in the piano roll for marked beats, this is a known issue that i reported a while ago and will hopefully be resolved, and yes it would be good to be able to change vol/panning in both sections, but think this is a manpower issue again, theres lots of stuff being dealt with and well it just all takes time.

with resolution of beats, can't you change that by adding extra steps?

hydrogen is an amazing drum sequencer, its one of the best i've ever used regardless of proprietary/FLOSS. its just very good. it might not be as convinient but you can sequence all your drums in hydrogen then just import the loops.
