I've decided that lm-monitor can now be considered stable, and dropped the beta extension. Two bugs have been found and corrected, and I've added code to run as an unprivileged user. The details are in the Changelog. In addition to the source file, there is also an md5sum so that you can verify the integrity of your download.
The second beta is released today, now allowing up to 8 temperatures, 8 fans and 12 voltages to be monitored. It is also possible to test the configuration file before going production, by running lm-monitor with the --verify-config option.
If you would like to verify that the file is not corrupt, the md5 sum for the compressed archive is 0207ffe5c6d453de050ef8b953c4d2e8
Enjoy!

I've fixed the two primary issues mentioned in the Release Notes for 1.0beta, reading of values and more sensor entries. I need to to some more work before having a package ready, but I will upload 1.0beta2 on monday, promise. :-)
As I promised yesterday, here is the public release of 1.0 beta. There are a few outstanding issues, please read the release notes for details. I hope you will enjoy this software and find it useful. :-)
2006-07-07: The project have just been started at sourceforge. I'll need a little time to navigate my way around here, so please give me a day or two to upload the source for v1.0beta :-)
