How are people using the different dump_iterators, etc. with LKCD?
Do people have private iterators, and dump formats which they're not publishing?
The reason I ask is that it doesn't map very well into the changes we made
several years ago.
Namely, the data type which is propogated through is a virtual page index
which doesn't seem to allow much flexibility.
What we need is a way for external functions to register that they have data
to dump, and way for those external functions to say, "Here's some data.
Please save it with this physical address."
This works well for things like special device memory, etc. which is not
managed by linux.
I'm going to rework things to fit our needs, but would like to know how others
are actually using these hooks, so I make something which might be more generically useful.
