I'm trying to install lkcd in a Debian AMD 64 machine with 2.6.18 kernel. It seems that there isn't any patch for this kernel, so I assume that it's not necessary. Unfortunately it doesn't work :(
I tried to recompile lkcd sources but I obtain this error:
make: Leaving directory `/root/soft/lkcdutils/libklib'
gcc -I/root/soft/lkcdutils/dwarf/libdwarf -g -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DARCH=x86_64 -DALLOC_DEBUG -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -D_GNU_SOURCE -I./include -I./../librl -I./../libklib/include -I./../liballoc -I./../libutil -I./../libconfig -I./../libhwconfig -I./../libsial -DARCH=x86_64 -I./include -I../liballoc -I../libklib/include -I../librl -I../libutil -DDUMP_ARCH_X86_64 -c -o main.o main.c

If I try to install with: aptitude install crash dumputils
But when I try to start dumputils I obtain another error:
Saving system crash dump (if necessary)...
Can't stat dumpdir: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/configdump: Configuration stopped because DUMP_ACTIVE is set to 0
I don't understand this error because when I install dumputils it creates a config file in /etc/dumputils
These are my settings of dumputils:
NOTE: /dev/vmdump exists and I tried to do it with /dev/dump too.
Could you help me?
Thanks in advance
