Brief introduction

XTA is designed to implement a TXaaS, Transaction as a Service technology that can be used in a highly distributed environments.
In contrast, TX Transaction Demarcation specification was designed to be used in highly consolidated environments like old style enterprise UNIX systems.
This discussion can be considered the starting point of this work.
