Hi! I'm trying to put Liveice-sn to work togheter with Icecast2, but I'm having some trouble. I have set all parameters on liveice.cfg, but liveice doesn't read it. Instead liveice got some default config and doesn't run cause it can't connect to Icecast2 server due to wrong password. Running Liveice with -F option it works flaylessly. This is a known Liveice issue? It only works if put -F option? There is any script to start it at boot? best, Marcio |

Hi, If you have a problem getting or keeping an erection, your sexlife can suffer. You should know that you're not alone. In fact, more than half of all men over 40 have difficulties getting or maintaining an erection. This issue, also called erectile dysfunction, occurs with younger men as well. You should know there is something you can do about it. http://parkerokaynow.*com ( Important! Remove "*" ) -- girls around Cho started doing it. She didnt, though. She said, Okay, and followed him out of earshot other classmates. Harry turned to look at her and his stomach gave a weird lurch as though |

The application is to stream audio from a streamer to icecast 2.3.1. via adsl. The streamer is using liveice-sn and Lame 3.97 on an VIA Epia-M computer with OSS drivers. At random times (each 1,2 or 3 hours) an error message is generated in the streamer: "Oss warning: Application Liveice caused too many recording overrun errors on audio device #0 Look at oss/docs/README.performance" Questions: - What could be the cause ? - How to solve this ? - Why is liveice and lame interrupted ? Could it be an idea to let Lame and liveice run always and drop MP3 packets if there is a buffer overrun ? I appreciate any comments. Thanks, Koos |

Hey, all! I need help to autostart liveice when the system boots. It`s easy to writ= e a script to start both Icecast and Liveice but Liveice doesn`t start. I= t hangs there, even if the line of the script is only "./liveice". What c= ould that be? Thanks a lot, Aluizio Neto |

At the moment I have a working set of IceCast2.3.1/LiveIce-sn04/Lame3.96 in Debian Linux to which I can connect with a remote client. The problem is that the stream info from the LiveIce configuration file isn't passed to the client. The icecast error.log contains a probably related warning: WARN connection/connection_complete_source No content-type header, falling back to backwards compatibility mode for icecast 1.x relays. Assuming content is mp3. Which application should provide the content-type header? Lame, LiveIce or IceCast? Fred Jan Kraan |

I have icecast and liveice installed on my machine. It seems to me that everything is working okay as far as the interaction between those two programs. I open the status webpage from the same machine and it loads. However, I cannot seem to connect from any other computer. From looking at past archives, some had to mess with the hosts.allow and hosts.deny files. But I am not having any luck with this. Any and all help is appriciated. I can post any configure and log files which may be helpful. Thanks, Shashi |

Hello and welcome to the list; First of all, Liveice v1.0, which is what you have there, isn't compatible with Icecast v2.x, hence the liveice-sn releases which do work. There will be a liveice2 eventually, but that's some way off. I don't know of any debian/rpm/gentoo packages of the liveice-sn branch, if I knew how to make them I would, but I don't. You will need to compile the source, which isn't hard. http://sourceforge.net/projects/liveice/ Secondly, if all you want to do is stream mp3 files, I recommend you use ices v0.4: http://icecast.org/ices.php Ices v0.4 has many features for file streaming that liveice does not have, such as crossfade support. Liveice is mainly intended for live input streaming. If you still want to continue using liveice please try the example config file that comes with the source package. I'm a Liveice newbie, trying for the first time to get Liveice and Icecast2 to work together. They're running on a Gentoo Linux server with the 2.6.10 kernel. I'm trying to stream an MP3 file. Hi Stephen I have give liveice-sn05 a test run and it appears to be working well. There were a few hickups during the build process, but they didn't bother. I attach a list of obeservations at the end of this email. You did not ask me to look for anything special, so I have just got it up and running the same way as I run the sn04 version. The configuration files for both icecast and liveice are attached (configfiles.tgz) I have actually got liveice and icecast to talk to each other now. I had the wrong path to lame in the liveice config file. The checksum error persists, however. I attach two ethereal traces (tracefiles.tgz). I have only taken the begining of the conversation, but it enough to show that the frames sent from liveice to icecast on the loopback interface all have checksum errors, whereas the frames from icecast to liveice are correct. Apparently the checksum errors do not prohibit the stream from flowing, so it migth be just a small blemish. I'll leave the decision as to correct this or not to you. I cannot get liveice to connect to icecast. The output on the console is: bent@yosie:/usr/local/src/liveice-sn04> ./liveice playlist 0 Initialising Soundcard 16Bit 32000Hz Stereo opening connection to yosie.bagger.home 8000 Attempting to Contact Server connection successful: forking process opening pipe!... writing password server didn't send OK response The last line comes after a while (timeout?) When I look at the communication between liveice and icecast with Ethereal I can see that the package with the password gets the additional comment in thedisplay: [CHECKSUM INCORRECT] What can I do to remedy this situation?
