#172 default driver: irrecord et. al. fails on kernels > 3.17.4

This is a tracker bug for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1260862. Basically, at least irrecord and probably also lircd fails on recent kernels. The root cause is the kernel bug, we we need to work around it.

    Patch upstreamed to kernel media subsystem: https://patchwork.linuxtv.org/patch/32708/. As stated earlier we will need to work-around broken kernels anyway.

    The upstream patch has been rejected, so we need to live with this behaviour(!) Will make a try with a more sophisticated kernel patch later. For now, fixed in [c7643d] (master) and [f41013c] (release-0_9_4)
