Infrared keyboards with about a 12 foot range with a built in little joystick pointer in the corner are available at any CompUSA for about $20-$30 - they have a reciever that plugs into the regular ports on your computer (I forget if the pointer is ps/2) It's aparantly a very, very cheap device. I've seen a lot of surplus dealers carry it, and a lot of set-top devices use what is probably the same keyboard. I've got access to any number of them at my workplace (Lineo).
