Hi List, I have a serial rx/tx solution I bought from eBay and it's working great with LIRC. Very well actually, it's better than the receiver built into the tv! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=200205713612&view=all&tid=508107473010 So everything is all good, except now I want to control my aircon unit.... With mode2 I can see all the pulses and spaces and they are consistent and don't usually vary by very much, however irrecord, even in raw (--force) mode only picks up two dots and then stops, failing to find the gap it says. I understand the air con remote sends state packets rather than individual control buttons. How can I capture the input from mode2 and replay that signal exactly. I will then, instead of decoding the packets, capture the settings individually and replay the right packet. So I want to end up with.. 25 degrees cooling fan full 26 degrees cooling fan full 27 degrees cooling fan full 25 degrees heating fan full 26 degrees heating fan half 27 degrees heating fan low (degrees C for those who think im crazy :) etc etc... I tried to do: # cat /dev/lirc0 > capture.code ... and then ... # cat capture.code > /dev/lirc0 but that fails with an IO error, even as root. How can I capture the mode2 output and convert it into raw config codes to use with irsend, or is there another way I can do it? Cheers, Hippy |
