The following error is returned:<br> <br> Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote<br> <br> The mplayer version I am using is from the debian multimedia repo. <br> <br> ii mplayer 1:1.0.rc2svn20100313-0.0 The Ultimate Movie Player For Linux<br> <br> Before I upgraded to 0.8.6 lirc the same mplayer was working with my remote.
