I am trying to sort through the info to build a UIRT2 and just saw statements it can't do 56kHz. I know that newer USB versions are available but want standard RS232 serial. Does anyone have a disassembly of the UIRT2 code? Does the 10 MHz code support 56 kHz? How similar is it to the UIRT code (this code is available)? Seems like moving the UIRT2 code to a newer chip with PWM would be a good plan. Does the UIRT (main docs I found on this are here: http://free-zg.t-com.hr/DPM/ele.htm) work with LIRC? I didn't see it on the list. That seems to leave no homebrew solution that works with LIRC and can do 56 kHz and does RS232. Is there one? Any issue with 56 kHz with the simple serial port hardware? This isn't RS232 and isn't my preferred solution but I might do it if that is the only solution. Jim |
