Well, I got my gf to press some buttons on the remote, but I don't see anything in /var/log/lircd to suggest anything happened. However, I did get irsend to work, which I have never been able to do before, so progress has been made. I'm going to try to get irsend to control my newly installed Sky box. This may save me =A350 if it works.
