Hi, I have been using lirc on a stand alone MP3 server for several years. Now, the hardware is failing and I got a new board (well, "new old" one. P3@600 MHz..). Lirc generally works again, but I have trouble with key repetition. Single keypresses are always recognized. If I hold a key, however, lirc seems to loose it after a few repetition events and does not give me continous key events. Sometimes I get two/three messages from lirc, sometimes up tp 10. But a the end, it always failes to detect that I am still pressing the key. I can release the key and press/hold it again and then there again it detects a few repeats. So, this seems to be a drift somewhere, the ir recognition seems to get out of sync or so. I have tried with lirc 4.4, 5.1, latest 2.4 kernel and 2.6.19.2. No change. Anybody have an idea how I can get this to work? Maybe some problems with the mainboard or some missing settings in lirc? I am sorry, if this already has been answered on this list, but I could not find a related topic. If anybody could point me in the right direction, I am very grateful. Thanks, Fran |
