Terratec Cinergy HT TV card remote

Hi,
I'm a new subscriber, so hello everybody :).

I recently bought a Terratec Cinergy HT TV card. It came with a remote and a 
USB IR receiver.

The receiver identifies itself on the USB bus as the following:
Bus 4 Device 5: ID 0419:0001 Samsung Info. Systems America, Inc. IrDA Remote 
Controller

I have opened it and the only chip that can be seen inside seems to be a 
Cypress Semiconductor CY7C63001.

I'd like to know if it is possible to use this IR receiver with lirc. For any 
further info just ask.
