Controling Sony TV with mceusb2

Hi,

I have a Sony 28inch widescreen CRT TV.

I use the RM-932 remote file from the lirc website.

This works successfully when receiving the control commands. I can leave 
the TV switched off and using irw get all the appropriate command to 
appear in a console window.

However when I use irsend the TV seems to just ignore the commands, the 
red lights light up, and I know the irsend works as I succesfully use it 
to control my surround sound amp.

Has anyone come across this problem? or have any ideas. I've placed the 
sensor directly over the IR point on the TV, and I've tried moving the 
transmitter around so I don't think its a tranmitter location problem.

I would love to finish the automation setup on my Freevo media centre.
