mceusb2 driver with SMK transceiver

I've been playing with this for a few days now and it seems like the driv= er=20 isn't completely recognizing the device. I've tried several versions of=20 lirc with the same result. I'm using a 2.6.16-1.2096 kernel from Fedora=20 Core 5. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any parameters in t= he=20 driver that could be played with?
