Hi list, I have come here to ask for help in setting up LIRC for the remote bundled with the Avermedia's "AverTV A800 DVB-T USB 2.0" tv USB module (seems to be called "RM-FP") because after reading the documentation and searching the list's archive, I'm still stuck. I assume this remote is supported, because there exists the configuration file "lircd.conf.RM-FP'. Now my questions are: 1) The remote is already working through the /dev/input interface, since I can see the output of numerical keys on the active console. So, do I need another kernel module? 2) If yes, which one? 3) If no, how do I make "/dev/lirc*" nodes to be created? (The udev "lird.rules" file is useless without the kernel requesting the device node). 4) I'm currently using Debian with packaged LIRC version 0.7.1pre2-2. Should I switch to 0.7.2 version, compiled from source, or even CVS version, for better support? Thanks in advance and best regards. Angel |
