Faking IR inputs programatically

  Sorry, I was searching and can't find anything useful...

  I want to have a perl program fake lirc commands into lircd
so that input can come from the actual remote or from this perl
program.

  I am working on turning a Sharp Zaurus into a remote and I need
a way to feed commands into mythtv, mplayer etc, and lirc seems the
most likely source, but I also want my X10 usb remote to still work
(poorly as it does work)
