Hi there,
I have a Mitsumi MCE 2005 remote control, is it supported via mceusb or mceusb2
with a simple hack, i.e., by adding the correct identifier?
At this moment, I'm trying to compile the mceusb module in the most recent linux
kernel for this distro; it doesn't build...; next I'll be trying the mceusb2
driver, which isn't in the default kernel source tree.
I'll hack as far as my knowledge on kernel drivers goes (not an expert, but
capable of understanding with 3-4 more hours studying the source). In the
meantime, if anyone has information concerning success with this trasciever,
please let me know. After I've done testing (it'll have to wait until Monday),
I'll let you know of my results.
I'm working for a Portuguese linux distro (Caixa Magica) to get this remote
working on a media "cube" pc. I'll get deep into the driver internals and
contribute code if necessary. Just lend me some pointers to start on
development if it's really necessary.
Here's the result for "lspci -vv":
