hi everybody, i've an asus laptop with a remote controller. apparently the cir chip is an ite8704 which seems to be correctly detected and configured (same IO/IRQ than XP) by the lirc_it87 module May 7 15:45:40 neo kernel: lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61 May 7 15:45:40 neo kernel: lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0 May 7 15:45:40 neo kernel: lirc_it87: found IT8705. May 7 15:45:40 neo kernel: lirc_it87: I/O port 0x0290, IRQ 11. May 7 15:45:40 neo kernel: lirc_it87: Installed. i've made my test with 2 different remote controllers. - the first one is a creative rm-1000 (bundled with an extigy card). the default .conf does not work. irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 test.conf find the gap, but i've got to stop pressing key after 10mins. the generated .conf recognize all keys as being 1 or 2 - the second test with the asus remote (perhaps a live-fiew: credit card format and thin enough to enter in the pccard slot. this laptop have a flytv platinum tuner inside) i got only dot with repeatitive keys (channel, vol, forward, rewind). irrcord didn't find the gap. i've enabled debug for the compilation of lirc, i got number with each keypress (but not always dots) Is this a problem with it87 ? Regards. |
