RE: fedora core2: could not open /dev/lirc: error inserting lirc_gpio

hi all.
There is no device named lirc0 in /dev. Inspite of that I ran

[prompt$]/usr/local/sbin/lircd /etc/lircd.conf --device=3D/dev/lirc0
[pr=
ompt$]irw

Again it has the same output as I wrote in previous email.

Also I read lirc doc and it asked to insert lirc_gpio.
so I used

[pro=
mpt$]/sbin/modprobe lirc_gpio debug=3D1 card=3D41

I get the below erro=

kill your lircd daemon and restart it again with this parameter
