I have been trying to compile lirc 0.6.6 for the zaurus 5600. I have
tried a cross compile and native compile environment. My latest attempt
was at native compile.
My configure options are
./configure --target=arm-linux --with-driver=sir
--with-kerneldir=/mnt/cf/linux --with-port=0xf8700000 --with-irq=12
--without-x --with-major=61
--with-moduledir=/lib/modules/2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix/misc
It compiles fine and installs.
I then put a copy of lircd.conf for the remote I am emulating in /etc.
I do a "setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart none" followed by "insmod lirc_sir".
Then I do a "/usr/local/sbin/lircd". No errors so far. I try to test it
out with "rc SEND_ONCE CREATIVE_INFRA_DVD play" and I get a hard lockup.
I rebooted and found that the only lirc in /dev is /dev/lircd.
I recreated /dev/lirc with
ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/lirc
Then insmod lirc_sir, /usr/local/sbin/lircd and ran rc again. No hard
lockup this time but lircd quits.
I used the above options for port and irq because dmesg on the zaurus
reports:
ttyS00 0xf810000x irq 14
ttyS01 0xf870000x irq 12 used by irda
ttyS02 0xf820000x irq 13
