I have several Philips remotes which are using RC5 codes. I have read in the FAQ that irrecord can't find the codes. I've tried it, and it displays "something went wrong" in the key learning phase. I have also tried the generic RC5 and RC5-a configuration files, but no success. So is there a method to find the RC5 codes ? Should it be possible to modify irrecord so that it works ? Thanks for your help. Jean-Claude |

I had similar problems with the RC5 remote of a HI-FI MP3 player and jukebox (Terratec's "M3Po"); in a first attempt I could only control this device with a conf file learned by irrecord in "raw mode"... > I have also tried the generic RC5 and RC5-a configuration > files, but no success. > > So is there a method to find the RC5 codes ? Finally I could find the right (generic) codes, thanks in part to some hints given by Terratec in the M3Po manual: see comments in http://www.lirc.org/remotes/terratec/M3PO Note also that, mainly if you are using lirc-0.6.3 or earlier releases, you may have to include in the lircd.conf file a (manually tuned) frequency line (in my case: "frequency 34750"). Best, Enrique. |
