There have been a few posts to this list concerning the Motorola DCT700 con=
verter distributed by Comcast, and the IR code for the zero button for the =
device. Oddly, the codes for the DCT2000, already listed in the lircd datab=
ase, work for every command except for zero.
It seems the best solution currently available is to use the codes for the =
DCT2000 and then to modify a channel change script to detect channels numbe=
rs that include a zero, navigate to the closest channel and use CH+ or CH- =
to hit the target. For example channel 20 is reached through a [ 1, 9, OK, =
CH+ ] sequence. While this is a workable and creative solution, this is som=
ewhat inelegant, and I would like to see if I can find the secret zero code=
